What you're going to do

Developing existing and winning new clients is in your blood? As is identifying business opportunities in cooperation with an interdisciplinary and highly qualified team? If so, we have just the right thing for you! For the expansion of our Account Management team in Bern, we are looking for an experienced and well-connected account manager, who is familiar with managing WTO tenders in the public sector.

  • Assuming responsibility for the development of key accounts with a clear focus on profit and loss  
  • Identifying business opportunities, creating appealing offers and contracts 
  • Preparing strategic account plans and controlling their implementation
  • Building and maintaining a solid network with decision-makers from public administrations such as the federal government and the cantons, as well as federal government-associated businesses such as SBB and Post  
  • Creating convincing sales stories that contribute to the further development of existing accounts and the acquisition of new clients.  
  • Maintaining your own sales pipeline, leading and implementing sales processes, as well as working on offers in close cooperation with the specialist departments until signing of the contract 
  • Acting as contact person for client escalations, making sure together with other stakeholders that problems are solved quickly and effectively  
  • Controlling the client portfolio on a regular basis, and reviewing monthly reports 
  • Last but not least, supporting projects of assigned key accounts in close cooperation with project and service managers

What we're looking for

  • Higher education in computer science/business informatics, business administration, sales, marketing, or similar 
  • At least five years of experience in account/sales management, ideally in the public sector 
  • Proven knowledge in working on WTO tenders (public procurement law) 
  • Experience in an IT service environment, preferably in application and system integration 
  • Pleasure in working with clients and internal teams, as well as in sharing information and cooperating 
  • Proven negotiation skills, problem solving skills, service as well as client-oriented way of thinking and working 
  • Proactive, creative and determined personality  
  • Fluent in German and English and/or French
