What you're going to do
We build innovative and pioneering software solutions for our Swiss-based clients in interdisciplinary, international project teams. For our Financial Sector Unit, we are looking for a highly experienced Senior PMO (Project Management Office) Specialist to strengthen our project delivery organization. In this role, you will provide structure, transparency and operational excellence across demanding software development and transformation projects, working closely with Swiss and international stakeholders. You will enable successful project delivery through proactive governance support, reliable reporting, strong coordination, and a clear focus on quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
With your extensive experience in project management environments, PMO capabilities and ability to anticipate challenges early, you will help complex initiatives run smoothly and predictably. You would be comfortable taking ownership of PMO processes, driving follow-ups, challenging inconsistencies, and actively improving how projects are governed and reported. You also ideally bring a strong affinity for AI and modern ways of working, using new technologies to improve transparency, collaboration, efficiency, and delivery outcomes. While tackling new challenges together, the following tasks await you:
- Supporting complex software development and transformation projects as a senior PMO, including responsibilities such as
- Project planning support, governance coordination, milestone tracking and management reporting
- Proactive coordination of stakeholders, project managers, delivery teams and management committees
- Budget, forecast, staffing and commercial project controlling in close collaboration with Finance
- Early identification, follow-up and transparent tracking of risks, dependencies, decisions and escalation topics
- Acting as a trusted PMO counterpart for project managers, clients and internal leadership, communicating clearly in German and English
- Contributing to continuous improvement of PMO standards, templates, reporting routines and delivery governance, including the pragmatic use of AI-enabled tools and modern delivery practices
What we're looking for
- Several years of proven experience in PMO, or project coordination roles within complex IT or software development environments, ideally in the financial services sector
- Strong ownership mindset and the ability to drive PMO topics proactively from ambiguity to resolution
- Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills across interdisciplinary and international project teams
- Confident presence in client-facing and management-facing situations, including complex project environments and challenging delivery contexts
- Fluency in German and English is a must.
- Solid understanding of project financials, budget tracking, forecasting, staffing coordination and delivery governance
- Strong affinity for AI, digital collaboration tools, automation and data-driven PMO reporting; proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
