What you're going to do

Are you looking for a new challenge in sales / key account management at the interface between IT and banking? Then we might have the job you are searching for! We are looking for a sharp-minded Key Account Manager (Banking) who has a knack for pursuing new opportunities and developing client engagements to join our sales team in our Market Unit Financial Services. As a Key Account Manager, you will take over an existing client portfolio that you will manage and progressively grow. To offer your clients the best service and experience, you will work with an interdisciplinary, diverse, and professional team at Adnovum that will support you in all matters. In this role, you will report to the Industry Lead for Banking. This is what you’ll be doing:  

  • Managing a portfolio of existing client accounts within the banking industry, including strategic account planning and development 
  • Cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their business needs and challenges 
  • Collaborating with Adnovum project managers, solution managers, and project teams for vertical and horizontal offerings that meet the needs of our clients  
  • Driving revenue growth by identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Adnovum’s offerings  
  • Ensuring appropriate revenue margins within the clients’ portfolios 
  • Leading and implementing the sales process up to the closing of the contract 
  • Acting as escalation point for resolving issues at the clients  
  • Conducting regular account reviews to assess client satisfaction and identifying areas for improvement  
  • Maintaining an ongoing sales pipeline within the CRM system, accurately reflecting the status of each opportunity (deal)  
  • Collaborating with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting of sales-related data within the ERP system  

What we're looking for

  • Higher degree in information technology or any scientific subject, business administration  
  • At least 5 years experience in account management or sales in the IT industry 
  • Proven experience in managing sizeable IT-related projects, preferably within the banking sector 
  • Sound experience in the IT service environment, preferably in application development and system integration in the banking industry 
  • In-depth knowledge in banking from a market and IT perspective 
  • Established network in the banking or a bank-related environment 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, service- and client-oriented mindset and work approach 
  • Fluency in German and English
